Last night at the Chambers of Commerce Business Awards, Wavemaker was named Responsible Business of the Year - an honour that recognises our unwavering commitment to digital inclusion, community empowerment and sustainable practice.

Our mission is to bridge the digital divide by equipping individuals and communities with the skills they need to thrive. 

We’re absolutely blown away to have won this award - we never dreamed we’d win in a million years, especially against such strong contenders as Alice Charity and Midlands Air Ambulance!

Ensuring everyone can confidently access and use digital technologies
Community Empowerment:Embedding digital skills at grassroots level through our Digital Champion Programme

How We Got Here

Over the past year we have:

  • Trained over 1,500 people in essential digital and employability skills
  • Launched DigitAll, a secure, trusted online learning platform that enables self-paced study - anytime, anywhere.
  • Created and trained a network of Digital Champions to deliver local digital skills sessions.
  • Established 12 Digital Hubs in the heart of Stoke-on-Trent, providing equipment, support and guidance.
  • Distributed more than 600 devices - including Chromebooks, refurbished laptops and tablets to individuals and families in need.
