Empowering Healthy Changes with DigitAll: Supporting Weight Management at Adderley Green Practice

Sep 26
This week, Wavemaker had the opportunity to support a weight management event at Adderley Green Practice in Longton, hosted by our partners at Raparu. The session created an open and supportive space for discussing the challenges of weight management, exploring associated health risks, and encouraging people to take meaningful first steps toward healthier lifestyles.

The discussion was led by Dr. Ruth Chambers from Raparu, who highlighted important topics such as the benefits and limitations of BMI, the value of waist-to-height ratio as a health measure, and the importance of mindset and small, sustainable changes.

Our Contribution:

Wavemaker introduced attendees to our DigitAll platform, showcasing four free courses focused on weight management and healthy living. We also demonstrated how tools like the NHS app can complement these resources, making it easier for people to manage their health in a practical, digital way.

To further support attendees, the programme provided digital scales to participants, alongside one-to-one tech support to ensure they could make full use of the tools available. The strong turnout reflected the appetite for both practical advice and digital support in this area.

Why It Matters:

At Wavemaker, we believe combining expert-led conversations with accessible digital resources is key to empowering people on their health journeys. Collaborations with partners such as Raparu enable us to extend this impact, making health and wellbeing more accessible through both knowledge and technology.

If your organisation is interested in partnering with Wavemaker to enhance community health initiatives or stakeholder events, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can bring practical digital solutions that empower people to make lasting, positive change.
