Appetite’s Big Feast 2018

Big Feast. For those outside of North Staffordshire, it might sound like some kind of strange cafe but for those in the region, and in the know, it means a whole lot more.

Big Feast is a festival that runs across Stoke-on-Trent’s city centre. Organised by Appetite, the festival features a wide range of creative workshops, performance displays and interactive activities that people can experience. Though the festival has only been running for a few years, it is already immensely popular with many people from all across the city taking the time to visit.

Following the success that Appetite had with last year’s festival, as well as the positive response that we got from the people who joined us for our workshop, we were delighted to be asked to take part in Big Feast again. We wanted to make this year even more special and so added even more choice for participants, including the chance to create flags for our ‘Big Feast Bunting’, badge making and adding your own sticker to our wall.

We were rather popular- getting visitors of all ages on the Friday and even more on the Saturday as we helped to welcome in the August Bank Holiday. We were even surprised by a family who’d stopped by as they were holidaying in the area and wanted to find out more about Big Feast and what we were up to.

We hope that everyone who came to join us enjoyed themselves and look forward to seeing what the Big Feast has in store next year!
